Today was a planned driving day...but what a day to drive. If you have any doubt that there is a God, than come to Wyoming. Be-a-u-ti-ful!
We took our time getting ready. Had breakfast. Cleaned out the car. Packed the car and went on our Murray way (get it). First stop – Devil's Tower
For those of you that don't remember, Devil's Tower is the mountain in “Close Encounter's of the Third Kind”
This is the movie where the alien's would communicate with the people from earth...doo, doo, doo, doo, dooooo (c'mon you know the sequence of tones)
“Take me to your leader”
Devil's Tower is the first National Monument in the United States – We didn't know that. We then ventured on for another six (6) hours down the road. You know what that means...
This was a good time to sleep and gave us an opportunity to take snapshots of splattered bugs on our windshield...
As we were getting closer to Yellowstone, we took route 14 which was very windy and steep. We were right on the edge of cliffs at times...
You couldn't do more than 15mph in some spots. It caused motion sickness for a few. But we persevered. The temperature outside really started dropping. In fact, we managed to have a snowball fight in the middle of summer. How awesome is that?!?!
Breathtaking views is all we can say. The photos speak for themselves...
We even saw a bison on our way into the park. Excuse me sir while we take your picture:
What a day. We are all tired and hungry now. So we bid you adieu...
